RFID for Pedigree Tracking

The Challenge:

Pharmaceutical manufacturers constantly look for ways to improve drug security by reducing counterfeit and diversion in the supply chain. To date labeling allows manufacturers to keep tabs on different lots of product, but tracking items individually becomes cumbersome in distribution and at the pharmacy.

The Solution:

With RFID, drugs can be tracked at the item level throughout the supply chain. Individual packages are tagged at manufacturing and then read serially, in-bulk throughout the distribution chain.
